Linlithgow dancers in “Jet Set”

We finished our 2025 dance display run with performances by our Linlithgow branch. The ‘main’ show for P5+ was our penultimate performance on the Macrobert Arts Centre stage, while our junior dancers took their smaller show onto the local Linlithgow Academy stage.

LINLITHGOW SENIOR SHOW

This was our ‘biggest’ show of the run with 140 dancers aged 9-17 performing over 40 different routines showcasing ballet, jazz, tap, lyrical, commercial, musical theatre, cheer and acro styles, as well as routines by our Majors and Elite teams, in an absolutely stunning show for a sell-out audience of 440 family and friends. We also enjoyed a dramatic number by 13 of our adult tap dancers to end the show, and a solo by our 2025 Millennium Trophy winner Jill Russell (16).

Huge thanks to the team of volunteer chaperones who kept this challenging programme running smoothly with so many quick changes!

We were delighted to share the news that dancers Libby and Lexie will be continuing into full-time dance training after the summer break. We look forward to following their further training and careers!

LINLITHGOW JUNIOR SHOW

After the late cancellation of our theatre venue, we were delighted to be able to stage our Linlithgow Junior show in the local High School. We had 50 little dancers aged 3-8 years old performing a fun selection of ballet, tap, jazz, commercial, cheer and acro routines for an enthusiastic audience of around 200 family and friends. Our Majors dancers also showcased jazz and ballet routines which had been recreated to fit into the smaller theatre and stage.

Due to limited time in venue, only our Millennium Trophy winner Jill (16) performed a solo in this show.

We must give an extra special mention to technician Greig for the incredible job he did of lighting all our shows, but especially this one! Once again, he managed to turn the school hall, which had no tech facilities, into a dazzling performance space with an extremely tight schedule to get all his equipment in and out of the venue.

Teacher Amanda took photos during the dress rehearsal, and you can view the Linlithgow Junior album on our CSBS Facebook page.
