Panto season again!
We have had many students take to the stage in pantomime performances across Scotland this season...
Children of all ages have performed in professional and amateur productions across the country over the Festive season, delighting audiences with their fantastic singing and dancing.
A number of girls performed in the Falkirk Youth Children's Theatre production of 'Sleeping Beauty' in Falkirk Town Hall. The show received excellent reviews - read the Falkirk Herald review here.
Young Portonians staged "Snow White" in Grangemouth Town Hall featuring a cast of local youngsters - read more here. A number of students from our South Queensferry branch performed in a community panto with Forth Dimensions Musical Productions in the Scout Hall in South Queensferry which was reviewed by NODA - read the review here.
Senior dancer Eve Hanson starred in the professional panto, "Weans in the Wood" at Macrobert Arts Centre in Stirling. She played the role of 'Flora the Fairy'. Eve is no stranger to professional panto having already performed in a number of pantomimes as a child dancer at the Kings Theatre, Edinburgh.
Bo'ness Children's Theatre are staging their pantomime "Sleeping Beauty" this week and we have a number of students in the show. Good luck to them all!
Linlithgow players
We were delighted to have a small troupe of dancers perfrom in the annual Linlithgow Players pantomime. We have joined the Players for the past 20 years and always have great fun! This year's show was "Aladdin" and our new little group of dancers were superb and coped brilliantly with the limited rehearsal time. Well done to:
- Catherine Bain, Eve Hanson, Kirstin Richards (Dance Captain)
- Anna Bremner, Robyn Smillie
- Sophie Cameron, Georgia Rosenfeld, Abi Short, Kirsty Taylor, Laura Taylor
You can view a small gallery of photos from the show on the CSBS Facebook page.
