Queensferry junior dancers perform onstage
The little dancers from our Queensferry branch staged "Pure Imagination" at Carnegie Hall...
One hundred and thirty little dancers showcased their skills in ballet, tap, jazz, and acrobatics routines in a show inspired by the magic and wonder of childhood imagination. They were joined in the show by 50 dancers from our Majors ballet programme and Junior Elite team.
The Majors ballet students performed a short ballet adaptation of the classic tale, "Peter Pan" as well as a fun jazz dance routine inspired by Shrek! The Junior elite team premiered their new routine for the displays, 'Holding out for a Hero' which was a high energy jazz routine. We also had our 2019 Millennium Trophy winner Iana Phillips (13) perform an acrobatics solo she had choreographed herself, and Kirsty Taylor (11) performed a medal winning ballet routine.

This was the second of our 2019 dance displays and we have another 7 shows to go throughout June! The little dancers thoroughly enjoyed their time onstage and that was reflected in their enthusiastic and brilliant performances and the cheers from the audience!

Thank you to everyone involved...
We have huge thanks firstly to the class teachers for their hard work over the past 6 weeks in preparing the children for their display. They have been assisted by our wonderful class helpers who volunteer their time to help with the junior classes and were backstage to help their little friends with their costumes and routines.
The technical team at Carnegie Hall were really outstanding and provided a stunning backdrop of lighting for our dancers. Backstage, a team of chaperones (parents of the Majors students) assisted by class helpers, CSBS teachers, and Senior students, all worked hard to ensure the children managed all their costume changes and stayed happy during their time in the busy dressing rooms. They did brilliant job.
Many thanks to everyone who made a donation for a programme, or put a donation in the collection buckets after the show. You helped raise an impressive £351 for charity. We will be making donations throughout the year in support of a wide range of local and national good causes.
Professional photos and video
Once again Leask Photography took photographs during the dress rehearsal. These beautiful images are now available to view on the Leask Photography website using the password provided at the display.
We were delighted to have the amazing 1StudioVideo Productions filming for a professional DVD of the show. You can purchase a copy of the DVD from our shop and it should be ready for our classes resuming in August.
Finally, thank you all for your support over the display... We hope you and your little dancers thoroughly enjoyed it! Enjoy your summer break!
