Record numbers in Spring exam session

We were extremely proud to have a staggering 276 exam candidates in the Spring exam session!

Over a VERY full week, the students sat graded exams in ballet and tap, and medal tests for acrobatics, all from the first levels right up to advanced! This is the most students we have ever entered over the course of one session!

ISTD tap exams

Our exam week began with 36 students sitting their graded tap exams from Primary to Grade 6 levels. Their results are due in a couple of weeks and, although the floor was very slippy, the examiner said she thought the students were bright and bubbly, and that she enjoyed her day!

RAD ballet exams

Over the course of 4 full days, we had 150 students enter for their challenging RAD ballet exams. There were 29 little stars sitting the first RAD exam, the Pre-Primary Class Award, right up to students entering for their Vocational Graded Intermediate exam.

The RAD results are expected around 19 April... fingers and toes crossed for great results after everyone's hard work!

BATD Acrobatics Medal Tests

Our acrobatics exams follow the medal test system. The candidates have to perform a warmup, set exercises and routines, and a number of tricks for each level. This year we had an incredible NINETY students enter for their acro exams! The examiner was very pleased with the performances and congratulated Diane on excellent teaching. The results are due in a couple of weeks and will be presented in class time.

You can view a gallery of all the CSBS dance exam candidates on our CSBS Facebook page.

Well done to all the students, teacher, and parents, for all their hard work and effort preparing for exams... Now on to dance display rehearsals!!!
