Serena heads to Elmhurst Ballet School

CSBS dancer Serena begins the next stage of her dance career as she heads to Elmhurst Ballet School for full-time training!

Serena (14) successfully auditioned for the full-time training course and will be staying in Birmingham as she trains at the prestigious dance college. During her time with Central Scotland Ballet School, Serena has achieved great success in exams, auditions and competitions with an incredible list of prizes and awards to her name including winning being overall winner at both the Junior and Senior Royal Academy of Dance Awards. She has also received recognition from Falkirk Council for her dance achievements, and has represented Scotland internationally at the Dance World Cup. She is an incredibly hard worker and supplements her regular classes with associate classes with Ballet West, Royal Ballet, and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland, as well as additional training in jazz and lyrical dance classes across the UK.

Over the past few years, Serena has become an online dance celebrity, featuring as an ambassador for dance brands such as Simply Stella, Eden Dancewear, and Bloch. She has established a huge following on social media and has worked with some of the worlds top choreographers and photographers both in the UK, Europe and America to produce an impressive portfolio of photos, videos and performances... and even a leotard named after her! (A few photos are featured below)

Back home, she has remained a lovely popular student who still helps with our junior classes and workshops, and is a beautiful role model to all little dancers. She also takes part in our local community events, and has been a part of 'Generation Ballet' where the dancers work with the elderly in care homes. Serena exemplifies that hard work and humility are important in striving for success in dance. We are sending her a HUGE group hug as she begins her full-time training; her unique character will be dearly missed at home in Scotland and especially at CSBS.

From all your friends and teachers Serena... "Good luck and PLEASE come back and visit!!!"
