Starshine Championship success
Our CSBS Starshine Elite dance teams competed at the World Lyrical Dance Federation (WLDF) Scottish Championships with great scores and success across each category. The competition attracted hundreds of competitors from across Scotland with an incredibly high standard at all levels, so we were especially delighted to have dancers place in the top 10 and bring home a haul of trophies, including FIVE SCOTTISH CHAMPION SHIP titles!!!
LYRICAL CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Here are the results from the Lyrical group sections:
Junior Elite (group) - Under 16 Level 1 - SECOND
Senior Elite (group) - Over 16 Level 1 - FIFTH
Amy, Charlie, Eva (trio) - Under 12 - THIRD
Chloe, Georgia, Hannah, Rachel (quad) - Under 18 - SECOND
Gracie, Saoirse, Sarah, Robyn (quad) - Over 18 - SIXTH
And on the second day of the competition, the team each competed in solos across all the ages groups and levels. Excellent scores and placings, with a special congratulations to Rachel and Hannah for their Scottish Championship titles!

JAZZ CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Both the Junior and Senior teams competed in the jazz categories as well with more strong performances and another Scottish championship title:

Many of the team also performed jazz solos and made the top 10 in their categories. A special congratulations to Murray for his Scottish Championship title in jazz!

ACROBATICS CHAMPIONSHIP RESULTS
Acro is a new addition to the WLDF competition syllabus this year and we only had a couple of entries. Again the standard was incredibly high but our dancers gained strong results with their own choreography… and Hannah bringing home another Scottish Championship title!
