Super summer exam results

We are delighted to receive the results for our summer dance exam session!

The exams were hedl near the end of June, only a few days after our dance display run which made the experience a challenge for both the students and their teachers! The students put in a lot of personal practise and it shows in the results.

RAD Ballet exam results

Our ballet results are excellent with overall the 47 candidates gaining 3 Class Awards, 2 Pass, 14 Merit and 28 Distinctions! Most of the graded level students only attend class once-a-week which makes the achievement of passing the exam even more commendable. Special congratulations to the students who were awarded high scores of over 80% for their examinations, with particularly high scores being achieved for the Solo Performance Awards. The SPA is a perfromance orientated exam where the dancers are marked on 3 solos.

We have another special mention for Majors students Lucy Anderson who passed her first vocational exam, Intermediate Foundation, with a high Merit, only just missing the Distinction. Great work!

ISTD Tap exam results

Unfortunately our tap marks are much lower this session; the examiner marked VERY differently to our last examiner! Overall the students gained 6 Pass and 5 Merit which is still a good achievement and allows them to progress to the next levels. We have an extra special congratulations though to our 4 adult tap students for passing the challenging Intermediate level exam!

Our next exam session will be in November, and entry forms need to be submitted within the first few weeks of our new term... so keep practising throughout the break!
