SPECIAL AWARD

As well as winning 5 Scottish Champion titles, and another 2 as part of a group, dancer Charlie was honoured to receive the Cerys Reeve Memorial Trophy at the end of the Championships. The trophy is presented to the dancer who embodies what WLDF is all about; dedication, courage, sportsmanship and friendship. It is in memory of 14 year old dancer, Cerys Reeve from Lucy’s Dance Academy, who died suddenly in 2020. You can see more on the WLDF Scotland Facebook page.

THANKS AND WELL DONE

We would like to congratulate Coach Claire for the incredible work to choreograph and rehearse all the routines. Thanks also to Hayley, Iana, Samantha, and Sammy for additional coaching on solos.

Additional Choreography

With so many routines, it was lovely to have some of the other teacher and students creating routines; thanks to Hayley, Iana, Samantha and Sammy. Former student April Beattie also choreographed tap solos for Charlie and Harry, jazz solos for Lucy, Ava, and Charlie, and jazz duets for Jill and Charlie, and Evie and Lucy; CSBS dancers Jill and Charlie choreographed their own lyrical duet and a lyrical duet for Harry and Amy; Jill choreographed her own acro solo; and Rachel choreographed her own ballet solo!

Finally… have a wee look through the gallery of photos on our CSBS Facebook page!

Good luck for the World Championships in August!
