Marcus awarded scholarship!

While most of our dancers are enjoying a long rest through the summer break, senior dancer Marcus will be spending his summer training all over the world!

Marcus (15) is one of our Majors ballet students and also trains weekly with both the Scottish Ballet and Royal Conservatoire of Scotland associate schemes.

In February he won Silver at the Ballet Grand Prix for his excellent performances in the masterclass, and his classical and contemporary solos. He also recently gained Distinction for his RAD Intermediate level ballet exam. You may recognise him as the Prince from our “Snow White” ballet in the 2026 dance displays!

INTENSIVE SUMMER TRAINING

This summer Marcus will be training at the Yorkshire Ballet Summer Residential and our own Project Dance, but also successfully auditioned for the Elite programme at the 2-week residential Royal Danish Ballet Summer School. What’s more, he has been awarded a full scholarship to attend based on his video application! What a wonderful achievement!

We wish Marcus a very happy summer of ballet and look forward to hearing all about the experience on his return and seeing him dance here at Project Dance!
