Summer Dance Fun!

Our summer 2026 dance events were great fun and kept dancers of all ages dancing throughout the summer break! Please take a few minutes to read about the events…

SUMMER BOOGIE

Summer Boogie is always a popular event with a full day of dance and fun for children aged 4-9.

The little dancers had lessons in ballet, jazz, and acrobatics as well as a very creative afternoon in a dance-drama -games session before arts-n-crafts!

This year’s Boogie had a “Zoomania” theme with music and activities relating to animals and well-known movies such as Zootropolis, Madagascar, and Lion King. Roarsome fun!

Many thanks to teachers Hayley and Amanda, and class assistant Olivia for leading two exciting and memorable days!

DANCE STARS - VIDEO WORKSHOP

Dancers aged 9-12 had the wonderful opportunity to join our Dance stars workshop which included technique lessons in jazz and ballet as well as learning choreography… then the REALLY exciting part… they costumed their routines and spent time filming to create a unique music video. It was LOTS of fun and a great experience for the dancers!

We only captured a few photos and the film was distributed to parents. Thanks to teacher Hayley for leading the course, and teacher Amanda for the filming and direction.

DANCE SKILLS BOOST

The skills boost workshops are for dancers aged 12+ to have intensive training on certain skills such as strength, flexibility, turns, and jumps. They also enjoyed applying these skills in the final hour long choreography session with a guest tutor; former students Libby Hardie taught MT style jazz, and Hollie Crooks taught Lyrical.

Thank you to teacher Sammy for leading these workshops, both challenging and supporting the inexperienced and advanced level dancers! Please take a look through the gallery of photos from the Dance Skills Boost workshops.

Unfortunately our Junior summer School was cancelled due to lack of numbers, but please read about our Project Dance Summer School which ran successfully.
