WORLD CHAMPIONS 2025

Five of our CSBS Elite team dancers represented Scotland at the 2025 World Lyrical Dance Federation World Championships in Belfast bringing home a haul of top places and a staggering 11 World titles between them!

The small group had each qualified at heats throughout the year along with a number of other CSBS dancers, however only five chose to attend the 3 day event alongside dancers from across the globe. Our team were:

Charlie Fleming (13), Rachel Higgins (15), Georgia Rosenfeld (15), Jill Russell (16), Iana Phillips (20)

As well as lyrical, they competed in jazz and acrobatics, with a range of solo, duo, quads and group routines. Overall they won an incredible 11 Gold, 6 Silver and 4 Bronze medals and another top 10 placing!

• Rachel - Under 16 Advanced - 7th Place 🏅

• Jazz Squad - Le Jazz Hot- Pro/ Am- 1st Place World Champions 🏆

• Charlie and Jill - Under 18 level 1- 1st Place World Champions 🏆

• Charlie - Under 14 level 2 Jazz Solo- 1st Place World Champion 🏆

• Iana - Pro Jazz Solo - 1st Place World Champion 🏆

• Jill - Under 18 level 1 Jazz Solo- 2nd 🥈WC Runner up

 ACROBATICS RESULTS

• Jill - Under 18 intermediate Acro Solo- 1st Place World Champion 🏆

• Georgia - Under 16 novice Acro Solo- 1st Place World Champion 🏆

• Iana - Pro Acro Solo- 1st Place World Champion 🏆

• Charlie - Under 14 intermediate - 2nd Place Runner Up World Champion 🥈

• Acro Squad - Armageddon- Pro/Am- 2nd Place Runner up World Champions 🥈

Huge congratulations to them all and especially to coach Claire McAlister who had choreographed their routines, with the group routines being devised specifically for the event. What an amazing achievement!
