Dance display brilliance by the Braes branch
Our Braes branch staged 2 outstanding performances of "Out of this World" at the Macrobert Arts Centre.
Almost 250 children aged 6-18 took part in a dazzling variety of ballet, jazz, cheer, tap and acrobatics routines in front of an almost full auditorium. The response from the audience was fantastic as they cheered, gasped and even shed a few tears! The teachers were extremely proud of the performances and want to thank everyone who volunteered to help run the backstage area for making it all run so smoothly.
Our Majors students also performed a pointe work routine inspired by the 'Wizard of Oz', and short ballet of "Narnia" created by CSBS teachers Sammy and Amanda Clark. Majors students Riona Clifford (12), Sarah Leslie (13) and Serena McCall (11) each performed medal winning solos which they had choreographed themselves. Riona and Sarah were the joint winners of our Millennium Trophy this year and were given the opportunity to perform their solos throughout our dance display run.
We would be delighted to get your feedback from the show, please answer a few questions on our survey.
