Exams over... So get your onesie on!

Our winter RAD ballet exam session is over... so that means we have a week of FUN ahead!

Everyone works incredibly hard in preparation for the exams; the candidates, their peers, their class teachers and the parents. So, we always enjoy a fun week after an exam week to let everyone relax and have some fun before the hard work starts all over again!

RAD Ballet exams

We had fewer students in this session than usual due to the impact of the new syllabus and encouraging our students to aspire to higher pass marks. Thirteen little stars entered for their Pre-primary Class Award, the first level of examination in the RAD syllabus, and another 76 students sat their exams from Primary to Grade 6. You can see a few photos below or a full gallery on our Facebook page.

The results are due on 20 December... so keep your fingers and toes crossed! We still have 26 children waiting to sit their ISTD graded tap exams on Wednesday 13 November so there is more practising still to be done!

Onesie Week

Our popular fundraising week will include fun classes for students, workshops with guest teachers and even classes for parents to join in! Information will be posted on the notice board and on our CSBS Facebook page. All students are encouraged to come to class in their onesie, or pyjamas, with a £1 donation toward our dance fund. The dance fund is used to subsidise events so that parents don't have to pay out continually, e.g. Sparkle Party, Choreography competition, Majors rehearsals; and to help buy equipment such as ballet barres and dance flooring.

Have a great week everyone!
