Spring exam week 2015

We had a very busy week of ballet and acrobatics exams with over 200 students sitting exams!

RAD ballet exams

We had 156 students enter for their ballet exams with the Royal Academy of Dance over 5 days. This included 42 little dancers entering for their Pre-Primary Class Award, the first step on the RAD graded syllabus, right up to students entering at Grades 6, 7, and Intermediate Foundation levels.

We were also delighted to have 10 students from Denny Dance Academy at Denny High School enter for their Grade 3 Solo Performance Award. The solo performance awards are a new addition to the RAD exam options and candidates perform 3 solos for the examiner.

The ballet exam results are expected around 14 April 2015.

BATD Acrobatics medal tests

We had 55 young dancers enter for their acrobatics medal tests from the First Steps level all the way to British Medallion and British Award. The examiner gave teacher Diane very positive feedback and the results are due to be distributed in class in the next few weeks.

ISTD Tap exams

Our tap exams are scheduled for Saturday 14 March... so our 36 tap candidates have another couple of weeks to practise!
