STV Dance Marathon fundraising

What a great morning we had joining stars of STV for the 2013 Dance Marathon!

The Dance Marathon is a fundraising event for the STV Appeal which supports children across Scotland and aims to tackle poverty. Television celebrities are joined by dancers from across the country for a full day of dance workshops. We joined the morning session and got a taste of Street Dance, Bollywood and Charleston!

It was brilliant fun and a great chance to see what goes on behind the scenes when filming!

Fundraising totals

As always, we were touched by the fundraising efforts of our students and their families. Thirty-two young dancers took part aged 5-15 and they were joined by CSBS staff Amanda, Paula and Claire. Between them they raised a staggering £1030.

A special thank you to Gracie who raised £147 all by herself!

Last year the STV Appeal 2012 raised almost £2million and we were delighted to be part of the live TV show to present our cheque of £1236 and enjoy the excitement of the evening at STV Studios.
