Great results for our Spring exams!

The results are in for our 294 dance exam candidates and everyone has passed! 

In our spring 2017 dance exam session, we had candidates sitting exams including 169 candidates entering Royal Academy of Dance ballet exams, another 34 sitting their Imperial Society of Teachers of Dance tap exams as well as 91 students sitting ther British Association of Dance Teaching acrobatics medal tests.

Overall we had 7 candidates gain a Pass, 82 gain Merit, 25 gain Distinction, and 48 gain their Class Award, (there were also 7 absentees). Our marks are slightly lower across the board than we had anticipated, so we will be looking closely at the reports to ensure we keep up our high standard over the next sessions. We are very proud of ALL the candidates for their achievements but have a special mention for Emma, Lucy and Sam for gaining their Grade 8 Award from the RAD with Merit and Distinction, and to Emma for gaining her Intermediate exam with Merit too.

Another extra congratulations to the students who gained over 80% for their Distinctions:

• Primary Grade: Eden Leadbetter 82%, Georgia Rosenfeld 86%, Isla Pandian 81%, Lawrence Bremner 81%, Olivia Hamilton 86%, Sophie Cameron 83%
• Grade 3: Ailey Meikle 82%, 
• Grade 4 SPA: Catherine Bain 90%
• Grade 5: Laura McTeague 80%
• Grade 6: Eilidh Ryan 82%, Seana Scott 80%
• Grade 8: Lucy Hutton 89%

ISTD tap exams

We only had tap candidates at Primary and Grade 1 level. They all performed very well with 1 Pass, 26 gaining Merit (some very high!) and 7 gaining Distinction. Many congratulations to those who gained over 80%...

• Grade 1: Kirsty Taylor 80%, Charlotte Casey 80%

BATD Acrobatics Medal Tests

We had 96 acrobatics candidates from First Steps to British Award level! Overall they gained 2 Pass Plus, 9 Commended, and 75 Highly Commended which is the highest band! Excellent results!
