Linlithgow and Grangemouth dance display

Two hundred and eighty dancers shone onstage in our Linlithgow-Grangemouth branch dance display!

The "Legends" show involved around 260 dancers aged 3-18 performing in a wide range of ballet, tap, cheer and jazz routines to a soundtrack of music from legendary artists. The two unique performances began with a single tiny dancer in the spotlight who absolutely melted the audience! The audience were really enthusiastic and the dancers received great cheers and applause throughout both performances! Also performing in the show were our Majors ballet dancers who performed a short ballet adaptation of "Charlie and the Chocolate Factory" and both the Junior and Senior Starshine Elite teams who stunned the audience in their prize-winning jazz and hip-hop routines.

Another highlight of the show was the adult tap number from the musical 'Stepping Out' which had 23 adult dancers performing alongside teacher Olivia in a classic glittering routine.

We would be delighted to get your feedback on the the display so please take a few minutes to complete our short survey.

Charity collections

The Sunday audiences were very generous in supporting our good causes with the charity bucket collections after the 3 Sunday shows raising an incredible total of £604.11, and the programme donations raised another £309.97 . Dancers Iana and Lucy were also raising money for their Dance World Cup experience; thank you to everyone who made a guess and supported their adventure!

Thanks also to everyone who donated shoes to our appeal. We will be making a donation of dance shoes and clothes to send to Africa in association with Gambia Ballet Factory.
